Description
I saw a picture the other day that was 'like' this. My interpretation is a far cry from the awesome one that inspired me, but I just had to try and recreate it. Its taken a few days to do since I've had several setbacks as far as program errors, uniforms searches, and just day to day stuff that goes on at my place. Anyway, this is an attempt to make an image that has a memorial wall with Soldiers names engraved into it, a civilian running his fingers over names as he reads...yet he doesn't see the "ghost soldiers" emerging from the wall. (BTW: In the picture I saw, they were reflections of Soldiers, not ghosts). I have allot of respect for our Soldiers...I have relatives who have been in or are in different branches. Here is a HUGE "Thank You" to all who serve and have served.
Song?
"Cry Soldier Cry" by the German heavy metal band U.D.O. Partial lyrics:
"The fear and all the sadness
Of what it has become
In this world of madness
Another soldier gone
Salute the highest honor
The folding of the flag
Finally the end is
Another body bag
And all the time your comrades
Their backs against the wall
A band of brothers fighting
One by one they fall"
Postwork done in PS. Thank you for your previous clicks, comments, and fav's on "Snowblind". Have a great weekend everyone! :-) Background is Goodoleboy's photo, thank you for letting me use it Harry! :-)

a good attempt at recreation Rosie, and a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made in the name of "freedom" - and a reminder also, that we must never forget.

I Too Respect Those That Fought To Make Our Country What It Is Today (Australia), It's So Easy To Forget As You Go About Your Daily Routine, That Life Could Have Been So Much Differant If Not For Those Brave Soldiers That Fought For Our Freedom and Those That Are Continuing To Fight, Great Reminder, We Should Never Forget. ;~) my favourite soldier song is "I Was only 19" by "Redgum", very powerful lyrics.
