You shall have a fishy on a little dishy, You shall have a fishy when the boat gets in. You shall have a mackerel on a little dishy, You shall have a mackerel when the boat gets in.

Okay, so there's a grid made of chains, yes? With bouys that float the whole business when the tide is in? I presume the chain grid keeps the boats from crashing into each other, and that the chain hangs in swags under water so outboard motors don't get tangled up in them. It must be fastened to the walls in at least a couple places. And it functions like a parking lot for boats, with no docks. Is there a local guy who goes and and fetches people off their boats when they tie up? How am I doing? I'm just guessing, here. It's a total mystery to me, since we have nothing like this! Every picture you put up increases my curiosity. The Wiki is no help ... it assumes you know how the thing is used, or that you don't care. (I can tell you how they built the original walls, though, if you're interested.) If you're going to keep posting pictures of this fascinating place, you're going to have to tell me more.

Hard to believe that water can come in and out like this great pic and yes that tornado was in Michigan and tore things apart there in a small town it was on the news here.

Fantastic, what a great view and capture, Jeff. So much is to see on it. I like the wet beach f.e., and that color green on the roof.

Very good capture. He must get very muddy boots.

Heavy chains to try to stop the buoys moving too much in a storm.. I think thats the idea.. I know from experience, Lyme Regis gets some big storms hit.. A really fine shot once again.. Did you have Fish and Chips mate? Rob

Thanks Tara, I was trying to work out how it all functioned as it's new to me too. And wouldn't it be cool to see a time-lapse of the tide going in and out here? Fantastically absorbing shot!
