Description

It's a SYNGNAS! Whatever that means. It's 125cc and I've had it up to 130 KPH (81 MPH +-), with plenty of throttle left. BTW: anything over 100 on a bike is jailtime... Gosh, these scooters are great. My friends Kawasaki is as big as they make and though it is older, the smoothness in the engine idle and handling is incomparable to this Chinese model I have. Comparing the smoothness of, say a Honda Goldwing to a Harley, well, then this scooter would be comparable to a Harley in that it idles a bit rougher and sounds a bit louder than the Jap bikes. Also noteworthy is that in the US some states like Michigan will not allow smaller motorcycles on the expressway, and in some states, like Nevada, most of the scooters imported there are too small to require a license plate. In Michigan and Nevada both, this bike would require a license plate, and licensed driver. Here in Zhaoqing, the local county and city government leaves it up to the individual if they care to get a license plate or not. There are few police cars, most tickets are automatically generated by computerized monitors at traffic lights. If you do not have a plate, then, there are no tickets. If your vehicle is stolen, the police will not attempt to recover an unlicensed vehicle. In some ways, I like the Chinese laws better. Granted, the drivers are absolutely nuts, but cars seldom hit cyclists here as they do in the USA. The speeds are slower for one thing,60 KPH maximum in the city streets but usually the limits are 30-40 (37, 25, and 18 MPH respectively). While it is rare, accidental death by motor vehicle (Manslaughter) can be punishable by death. DUI's are jail time, an injury caused by an intoxicated driver is minimum five years, and death caused by an intoxicated driver is a mandatory death sentence. Oh well, just thought I'd dig out my RENDEROSITY T-SHIRT, do a snapshot of myself and show you all my new bike. I hope you all enjoy the shot as much as I liked doing it.

Very cool dude. I rode bikes when I was younger, and also had a blue Vespa! Yeah they are lots of fun. I LOVED the fact that I could park it anywhere. I HATED when it rained!!!!!!! People always mention the safety factor. For what it is worth. I have never had an accident (not even a scratch) in either a car or a bike. I have never had a speeding ticket either!!! And I have driven everyday through crazy traffic for 27 years.....but I admit I am a very safe driver.

Good ride Joe. If they saw you coming on a hog, they would probably pee their pants.

YELLOW is easily seen both day and night. Red and black cannot be seen in the dark. If you do not believe me, just ask the US Army or your insurance agent which colored cars are most often involved in accidents; RED and BLACK. In the USA a bikes headlights come on the second the engine starts, so cars and trucks can see you coming. In the rest of the world, you must manually turn on your headlights. In the daytime, the Chinese continually remind me, "Your light is on," out of courtesy because it will burn out the bulb faster. They have no concept of safety, or defensive driving. Come to think of it, the Southwestern USA is very similar. They paint curbs red for no parking, instead of yellow, which can be seen whereas red blends in during the day, and disappears at night. None the less, I like bright colors so they can see me, for a man who has been pronounced DOA three times in his life, bright colors are safer. And BTW: if I had a real HOG, it would be painted road paint yellow!
