Description

China. It never ceases to amaze me. I tell you all, they love us here! Of course, Pabst paid for the paint job you can be certain, and they are also likely to pay an advertisement fee. Pabst is made here in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, PRC. To give you an example; two weeks ago my good friend from Australia got drunk in my bar, left his iPad in the cab when he went home. The next day, my friends two daughters posted the event all over the local internet. Two days ago, a cab driver who spoke no English explained he knew where the iPad was to my friend who speaks only a few words of Chinese. Yesterday, he got his iPad back. It was waiting for him at the cab company. As for the US Army grunt, check your history books: During WWII, Mao and Chang stopped fighting each other and started fighting the Japanese. Before the first bomb had hit Pearl Harbor, Joe Stillwell's forces were backing up the British who were fighting the Japanese in Burma and Southern China. Our troops were stationed in our colony of Canton, presently called Guangzhou. Of course, Congress would not declare a war yet for a couple of years. Then there was this American unit of mercenaries called the Flying Tigers. This is where Pappy Boington began before signing up for the Marine Corps.

Pabst still in business? I popped a blood vessel in brain thinking about that brand. It's as old as my grandparents.

It is nice to see you posting again Joe. Glad to hear your bar is still going strong. Is the message here "Yes, we can beer"? Or is it a general positive affirmation. But how does the army guy figure into it?
