UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

it looks almost like a city---it really does. Yes, Chicago Schtick is just fine! And I like "end of the line," because it implies a new beginning too. When I was a kid, the Museum of Science & Industry was about the greatest playground on earth (to us kids), and I suppose it isn't that now, because media, computers, iPads, etc, have taken over (at least for kids). But the tactile, hands-on sense of the place, the endlessness of the displays---they just went on & on & we never wanted to leave---and the "cutting edge" multi-media of the place was incredible. And I remember the model train set, bigger than anything we'd ever seen: I don't know if this is the same one, or built upon the old one; but it's beautiful. And you got genuine clarity, closeness, and a feeling of intimacy---in part from your angle and sense of museum light. (And the El platform sure looks like chicago!) Thank you Bill, it's beautiful & intimate and I so appreciate your remembering & honoring me on the day. That day I was awash in tax law, so believe me, seeing a huge beautiful model was perfect. After 3 hours of "amortization and accretion" (which sounds like a bad skin disease), this was beautiful. Thank you for your support, Bill, and your friendship, and your just plain class as a human being. Another thoughtful creation from you, and I thank you for remembering me with it.

I can't get over the detail in this set-up. A amazing capture Bill and I think that I have a video of a german set-up and I will forward it along if I can remember where I saved it!
