I just wanted to thank everyone for remembering my birthday today...and also to thank all of you for being so loyal & supportive to me in the last months, when I've been so sporadic with all of you. I thank you all very deeply & I've put aside much of the weekend to go to all your galleries & visit once again. (And comment on your birthday images too. I promise, I will see all of you.) You've all been terrific to me, truly. Btw, do you know what I did all day, today? TAXES!!!! Freakin' TAXES!!!! Don't ask!!! A GREAT way to spend a birthday. The evening was at least better... Re. the image: Please see it full size---it's a big nothing, small. It's a study of reflections in my 'hood, but I liked the interplay so I decided to put it up. (It's 4 blocks from home, a month ago.) Thanks again everyone! I'll be back on the weekend. Have a good beginning of spring! Blessings, Mark

It really is a very cool study in reflections, and such a crisp clear photo. Very nice image. I didn't know it was your birthday - SO HAPPY B-DAY, Mark. Doing taxes on your special day is the pits (I haven't done mine yet) All I can say is I'm really glad you were born and wish you many more birthdays (sans taxes).

This is such a fabulous image. I LOVE that particular building and the just-right angle of your shot. The windows have the quality of mercury or hematite, and the smoothness of the reflections are mesmerizing. This has everything ... iron garden fences, the classic "different-architecture-on-every-corner" look of Chicago, those beautiful street trees, great contrast with subdued color ... it's wonderful!
