Description

Still very much a work in progress. Lots of fine tuning on the joints, lots of texture work ahead. Most of the rigging is done, everything is mapped. Though still have a couple items to model yet. The black is actually a car paint shader from my SC8-GT. Just thought it would look cool in black. I will probably do two versions in the final release. A black shader, and a more bright steel shader. The textures are tedious, and I am working on some intricate acid etching bands that really give it a historical feel. More fluting will be added via bump and/or displacement. I must say, posing this is more tedious than the Milanese for Mike. Same concept, just some more joints. For the pauldrons, there are invisible handles (can see them in the work window.) as the conforming figure for them is just the straps that fix to the gorget. The pauldrons themselevs are smart props. This allows for more customization. The one's in the pic here are the besegew version. The other full version, with no besegews are done too. And I still want to make a big guardbrace for the left arm. Another helmet here to show off too. That makes two helmets for this project. There's the sallet (top right corner) as seen in the last render, and this, the pig-faced bascinet. Visored as well, opens up with a dial. The sallet is made up of two conforming figures though. The bevor, and the helm. For the bascinet, the gorget, which is a smart prop, is used rather than the bevor. Anyways, just thought I'd post an update. The hair in the image is Flexy Hair from Out of Touch. It's a freeby. Pretty sweet though. Thanks for looking, Cheers

Nice to see some realistic armor for V4. Can't wait to see the finished product. FWIW I like the Black.

I'll surely be waiting to see how this plays out...2 versions means 2 for the price of one...A win win situation if ever I heard one...So far I see time well invested...Carry On!....(smiles)...
