Description
Plus a regal display of overhead wires for Andrea.
The first of several pics I snapped of these majestic giants, captured yesterday, 3/21/12, across the street from the semi beautiful El Dorado Nature Center in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Don't bother to zoom.
It's been five years since I last visited this area for nature and scenic shots, but this time, for best results, instead of a point-and-shoot camera, I employed my Pentax DSLR with its 28-200mm lens, photos from which I will be posting anon.
Arrivederci, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and NONcritical comments.

Beautiful triplets Harry and a gorgeous clear sky.

I also do like the symmetry of these giants - a slimmer reminder of the 1956 movie, with the same name: "Giant" ;) BB

Excellent capture, Harry; I can almost hear the buzz and feel the hair on my arms stand up from the static aura of these things. And a very blue sky to show them off!

Suddenly! Godzilla comes crashing through the trees, tearing down the power lines, throwing the city into darkness.. Screams were heard throughout the night.. (Oooops! Sorry, getting carried away lol) Actually, I think this quite a good shot of an ugly thing.. Needs must though.. You have shot it well Harry, good job.. Rob

don't know how I missed this, but I'm glad I'm commenting on it now. Majestic. And the wires make such perfect formations, like they posed for you. And the intensive blue sky up there is a fine backdrop. For the tilt of the ground, you have an opposite tilt of the tower-heads...Beautiful work with these otherworldly structures. You manage to make them beautiful, which is no small feat. They strike few people that way (one of your recent comments said he didn't like the look of these towers at all), but the photographer is supposed to see the beauty in anything, and you have found it even in these strange gangly towers. Fine work.
