Description

This is the Namib desert between Swakopmund and Henties Bay where we stayed for the duration of our holidays. The lone cross is a reality check on the harshness of this amazing landscape - it has no mercy. Thank you for popping in and for your kind comments and favs on my last upload "The Fisherman". Hugs Carin xx

I like the slightly desaturated look. It highlights the bleak, starkness you've captured in this shot. What an amazing place this must be to visit!

A wonderful minimalist landscape; I'll bet it's very, very quiet there!

Stellar series of patterns and striations in this harsh scene, Dierbaar! Is that a grave back there?

Yes! It is a stark reminder that despite its wild beauty, its a desert, and deserts kill.. Good shot Carin. Rob

Such an interesting land, but it looks hot there. I love your DOF, and POV, Carin, and the colors are superb soft. Hugs back :)
