Description
After taking care of Sebastian, Beren found Stavros and Seth and took them into the living room. Stavros looked like hell. It had been a long night into day for them all, but Stavros had to deal with Evie and he was furious with Sebastian. That made things harder on him.
Beren closed the doors and proceeded to tell them Sebastian's sad tale. He began by saying, "If anyone can understand the impact of what has happened to him, it should be you two. I certainly can. All three of us have made deeply emotional and rather permanent choices based upon that 'other' in our lives - so, I want you to put yourself in his place and listen to what I have to tell you."
By the time he finished, Stavros was actually on the verge of crying. This was something in itself, for the man rarely ever showed any emotions except when it came to Evie. Seth just sat there shaking his head. "What can we do for him...with him? You can't keep him locked up for the rest of time. Do you think he's alright when the moon isn't full?"
"That, we don't know," Beren answered. "Neither does he - not for certain. We'll just have to observe him. He's alright with that. He wants help. He's grateful for the help, I think. Really, if you talk to him, he seems like an alright sort. We have to accept him...show him compassion. It works unless someone is so far beyond help it can't touch them. We know that from centuries of experience, trust me. Ursie taught me that a very long time ago, and showed me many times over - it works. She and I will be working with him. She tells me she's sent for Gerda too. You remember Gerda, don't you?"
Seth smiled, "Ohhh, yes. I remember Gerda. Who could forget her?"
"Ahhh, the one that's an old wolf-kin...fey. She's Rhona's cousin isn't she?"
"Somewhat removed but aye. She's the daughter of Gwidion's wife's brother."
"Ah, right...Gwidion. Speakin' of Rhona," Stavros began, "what about Raimo? He's going to know now what we are."
"Don't worry about it," Beren and Seth said nearly in unison.
Seth continued, "Raimo doesn't have a problem with wolf-kin. It's mostly Nick, who has influenced Dorian. I'll talk to Raimo. It'll be fine. You got enough on your plate Stavros. You just take care of Evie. Okay?"
"Yeah. Thanks, Seth." He turned to Beren. "I'll explain to Evie about Sebastian. Poor brother. I mean, I aint entirely *not* mad about what he did. He tried to steal my mate afterall. But," he shook his head, "I feel for him. I really do."
"I think it would be a good idea for you to go down with me and talk to him - when you get a chance," Beren said. "Will ya do that, lad?"
Stavros nodded. Beren and Ursala had taken him and Evie in long ago, and if it weren't for them, they'd probably both be long dead by now - slain by a hunter, because of Evie's once tremendously violent nature.

The posing and attitude of the characters look spot on for the story. The far away look of Stavros is especially notable. The background painting is beautiful. The krumholz trees are spendid here and look smashing against the orange/brown
