Description
Seth was more or less alone in the house. Raimo, Rhona and Serena were off somewhere on a walk. Beren, Ursala, Evie and Stavros were downstairs with Sebastian. He noticed the sun was going down and decided to go out for a breath of fresh air. He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw her standing outside the door on the patio...looking amazing as ever. Gerda was an amazon woman - muscular and lithe. She mostly scared men. Oh they stared, but they were scared silly of her. She scared him too, but for different reasons.
He'd only ever met her a couple of times before and he found himself immensely attracted to her - as if he knew her from somewhere - someplace else and had been attracted to her then too. Seth pushed the door open and stood back, assuming she'd come in.
"Hello Mister Caine. Nice place," she said. "I was wonderin' when someone was gonna show up." She wasn't even looking at him. She just knew he was there and it was him - not someone else. "Heh, ya can quit droolin' Seth. What would your wife think?" She turned and looked at him then, smiling that wicked smile. "I know you have to invite vampires into your house, but since this is my first time here...do I have to be invited into a vampire's house?"
This made Seth laugh and broke the awkward tension. He knew that she knew what the sight of her did to him. "You know better than that, Gerda Kelly." He watched her stroll up to him, his insides churning. "I wasn't droolin'."
"Were too," she laughed stabbing a nail into his chest. "There's some right there."
"I know better than that." If he'd have looked down he would have fallen for one of the oldest tricks in the book. He explained to her where everyone was. "So, for now it's just you and me, G. I'd take you downstairs but they don't want to be disturbed."
"Is that where this wolf-brother is then?" she inquired in her lilting northern Scot accent.
"Mmmm, yes. Aye. They've got him in a cell down there, under observation. I guess he's pretty messed up. A hunter killed his mate."
"Occchhh! That's serious stuff," Gerda replied, making herself at home on the couch. She patted the cushion beside her. "I'll know all about it soon enough, I think. In the meantime, sit your lovely self down an' tell me what's goin' on with you." When he hesitated, she chuckled abruptly. "Ya know, I don't bite Seth...well, not most of the time."
Her brow furled then as she regarded him - as if she knew something he didn't that bothered her. "How long's it been?" he shrugged. "Fifteen, twenty years since I last saw you?"
"Somewhere in there. I think the last time I was here was when Rhona came over here."
"That's right. That's right. A lot's happened since then...." He proceded to tell her. He always slipped into a quasi Scot brogue whenever he came here because of Beren mostly. Ursala's accent was still some strange blend of Scot with a slight French twist. When Gerda was around though, it became even more pronounced. He felt really comfortable with her...and maybe that was what made him feel 'uncomfortable'.

Ahhh - so there is some strangeness between these two that remains to be seen. What is it and when will we know? Sometime.
As those who have followed know, Gerda is Damara and Kelly's daughter. I'd been thinking about creating her, but then the lovely Roxanne came along and she's perfect for Gerda. She even looks like she could be their daughter.
Thanks for stopping by and looking dear friends. Have a beautiful day/evening.
Cheers!

Yes, when I read that last name, I knew who's daughter she was. Should be interesting to hear the backstory between Gerda and Seth. Great image too. Seth looks a bit unsure of himself here and she shows a lot of self confidence. Well done.
