Description
Captured back on 10/26/08, at the 7th Annual Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo, held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
ZOOM for definitive details.
Along with roses, I have been neglecting my tons/tonnes of auto show fotos for much too long, so, to partially atone for that oversight, here's a beauty, cherry from stem to stern, sporting an elegant satinlike paint job. Even the bumpers and grille have a satin finish. No door handles either, so how do they open the doors....remote control?
And, if anyone knows the true significance of that incongruous Cyclops eye and wings emblem in front, let us know.
Toodles, thankx for hopping aboard, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

A beauty for sure Harry, interesting 'grille'...they will never have an excuse they couldn't see where they were headed! lol I'd say remote for the doors. They have done that around these parts...kind of a cool idea I think!

LOVE the eye!

These are really some fantastic photos of this true classic car Harry

Don't know the meaning, but the eye is really COOL. Cars back then were boxy and clunky...I like the modern sleeker ones today. I guess you had to leave the windows down so you could open the doors on this oldie. I do kind of like the mustard yellow color. Nice car collage, I hope you do upload more.

Superb captures of this unusual car. The eye looks great, maybe it is to check out when there is a cop car coming.

What an utterly cool set of shots of this dramatically beautiful car! Wow! I don't know if there's significance to the eye etc, but I think it's just ornamentation, and well done to the owner/s. Great postwork on these, Harry, you've done it proud!

A very unusual grill. Funny thing is that with it's chopped roofline it looks even more stunning than an original.

Thats a cool looking car to be sure Harry.. Great conversion.. And the grill, well... I've never seen one like it, that would freak me out on a night drive if that lit up! lol Great collage, well done! Rob

Hm, inspired by Von Dutch I imagine.. very cool. My hubby has the winged eye tattoed on him.

Wow Harry! Most unique. I did a little searching around on the web because I can often find these cars and some background on them and the owner. Not so in this case. But anything could have happened to this car in the last 3 1/2 years. Maybe it has been repainted...or sold to a car collector in Japan...or, or...;-) Whatever the story, this is a cool set of pictures. Well done.

An outstanding collage, car and satin color. I will send this on to my car expert and let you know what he thinks the eye and grill is all about!

going back into the archives again, and following up on your car shots since you posted a montage for Father's Day. I just love your shots of these beached whales, you get such mass and leviathan-like weight in your captures. Maybe part of it is in the cleanness of your captures---nothing to distract us from the mass of the car itself...I read the comments to see if any of your viewers knew why that eye was there: I'm really disappointed! Not even the car mavens knew. It's a wild additions for a "business coupe," that's for sure...You de-focus your backgrounds well in these series, and bring forth the cars very boldly: I can't get over how 'smooth' this thing is. I can't get over that there isn't a blemish on it, at least from this distance. And your front to back angles give us the full view of the car, again. Beautiful captures of something I will probably never see anywhere else in my life; and I'm grateful once again that you go to the trouble to show us these beauties...
