My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is lovely! and, do you know, I really fancy those lampshades. I'm someone who will have bare bulbs rather than make the wrong choice.
Katraz
I have some shades almost the same as these but not so orange but I cant use them till I get some new lamp holders to replace the old broken Bakelite ones. The Pink Floyd reference will pass me by as EMI have had the link blocked in the UK, I am sure this will be there loss not mine, If I can't hear it I wont buy It.

Well.....first of all, shame upon you if you don't know this song, it contains possibly the greatest guitar solo ever! Especially live! lol But, I digress! A fine shot Tara, well taken with a brilliant POV and fabuous title! Damn! I mentioned the title.... lol Rob

I totally get it. I'm a huge Floyd fan. that's way my other rendo name is "Floydianslip". Really cool image. :)

I got it right away, a favourite song of mine. And this is lovely, as I would expect given that it involves light and glass and your camera eye! Can't wait to see what you do with the Chihuly exhibit when it finally opens...

Very lovely lamps, Tara. Well seen and captured :)

Excellent shot, personally I was never a Floyd fan, so I gracefully decline the invitation to hear the song, there is more of an artist to appreciate in you.

Well spotted and with great light.

I like the fact that these remind me of glass skirts. I love it when things look like other things or remind me of other things, and I keep thinking of glass skirts and how Donna Karan probably won't design one. Frank Lloyd Wright might have done so at one time, but he didn't. I love the warm colors in this, and again, maybe it's my headspace, but I'm imagining that the "glowglobes" in Frank Herbert's Dune series emit a nice, warm glow like these.

Great POV and color!!!

Oooooooooohhhhhhhhhh.......... What yummy colors, and such gorgeous fixtures - I'm drooling right now..... Wonderful shot, Tara - I am indeed comfortably numb!

And I have a better appreciation of the tie between these colorful and playful shades...and your title, coming through in waves...:*
