Description
Here I go again. The first baby of the year.
This little guy is the only one that survived
the tree being cut down. At least the person that
brought him feels really bad about it. He did not know there was a family in the tree.
He is about 10 days old and should do fine.
I bet you didn't know that raccoons came this small!

Awww...at least one survived. I'm glad to know the person who cut down the tree felt badly. I'm so glad he's in good, experienced hands now. We had a tree that needed to be cut down, but a momma titmouse had made a nest in a hole in the tree, so we kept checking on the progress of her clutch and as soon as they fledged and were totally gone from the tree we cut it down. Don't like taking down trees, but this was a dead one that was threatening to fall into the road.

Yes, so small. And where is mama? Papa? Hope they made it OK. So cute. And, when it opens its eyes, the first being it will see is...you! And it may well think YOU are mama or papa! Nice photo. Did you take it yourself, or did you have help? Keep up the good work. Thanks for posting this! :-)
