Description

I started getting some shots of insects I find on a white BG. Had the idea that they would look great on a T-shirt. It all came about with a Wolf Spider I shot on the stucco of my house and with the right levels the grey stucco became white and looked interesting to me for that idea (Posted that image a while back. Anyway, this is a Medfly, and an early version of that idea. I took this one on a gray cloth at that time. Since then I have changed to a white board I painted with Flat white primer. Wasn't liking the fuzz under the insects. The text/font layout at this point is in the idea stage and I may change it up a bit before I attempt any printing of shirts. This is the only one of the 4 on white insects I have that was a stack of multiple shots. Sometimes its just tough to get that done in a controlled shoot. Thanks for looking. Bruce PS I really don't want to turn this into a commercial for peddling goods, but if anyone here was interested in this, shoot me a site mail.

Wow, that is really great work. Great concept to shoot them on white background like this. I also really love how you framed this up. Love to see more of this series.

I guess my wants in a shirt image are simpler. I would put black oxford shoes on the three feet that are showing, then simply label it Shoefly! (I too thought 'diptheria' at first glance) This is a spectacular shot!
