My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Superb capture Tara. God Bless.

Nice photo, Tara. It looks like wrought iron, but there are parts which look like they've been ground for some reason (repairs?). If so, it's nice that they have kept the old instead of scrapping it and replacing with some modern stuff. The style fits nicely with the brick. The horizontal steps and verticals mesh to form interesting patterns. I can just savour the flavor of the times in this photo. Keep up the good work! :-)

You could have posted this anonomously and I would have known that this was your work! It has Tara written all over it - in a VERY good way. Another excellent pov and image out of your camera and skilful hands dear friend!
helanker
WOW!, do they even make the escape so beautiful. I am impressed.:)
moochagoo
All those lines...Very nice.

Sheesh, I for one walked right by this without much of a second glance. We must add some places to our bucket list for ironwork...like New Orleans and Savannah. I'll never pull you away from the older parts of those cities:)

perfect wall, stairs and picture, what a wonderful mood for living! love the contrast from iron to the "warm" bricks... or is it the light?
Chipka
I love the warm color off the bricks and the great diagonals of the actual stairway/escape itself. The ambient mood is fantastic: a bit brooding and mysterious, but not entirely dark...nothing to make the viewer feel edgy or willing to scurry away from the image itself, and yet there's enough shadowy mystery to pull one in and make (or at least imply) all sorts of nooks and crannies to explore! Yeah. I like this a LOT!
