Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Well captured, my friend. I might have a go at modelling this in the render program VUE. This image reminds me of the coast along County Antrim, on the north east corner of Northern Ireland, from the Glens of Antrim round to the world renowned 'Giant's Causeway'. There the mountains meet the sea, often in a very spectacular manner. I look at cliffs which I climbed down when I was a boy, and wonder how many angels were looking after me on those occasions .. ;o) Warm regards, from a chilly, damp Glasgow, Scotland ( now that the snow, hail and sleet of the past few days has receded ), John.

Lovely shot. That foam looks like the profile of a Victorian lady!!

beautiful, and so like the county of Cornwall in the west of England

I swear I know this arch and stretch of coast. But it could be the one of several magical rock creations Mother Nature has places on the shoreline for us to remember her by.

Beautiful capture of our coastline! I may have to take trip up that way!

I like how rugged this looks and how dramatic. I love the overall feeling of this shot. There's so much going on with the rock, the water, the plant life taking advantage of it all, and even the drama of the clouds. Yeah, this is one of those shots I could never get tired of looking at. Quite stunning, and I love the way you've composed it; there's a kind of nice movement to it.
