Description


In the day, every car had its distinctive hood ornament or badge. Many were works of art. This hood badge from a 1947 Chrysler New Yorker is a fine example. Just look at the chrome and colors on this gem. Back then car hoods were substantial pieces - huge chunks of formed sheet steel. I liked the way the sheet metal contours distort the flourescent tubes in this shot. Enjoy

Oh, I like this! You've hit the nail on the head. I've always thought that classic cars from the 40s, 50s and some in the 60s are indeed works of art. Like the light swirl that you've captured.
