Description
Some days ago I met this pretty tree in flower in the median bed of a street in Padova. The tree isn't in the best of locations, probably a survivor of the re-styling of the area of the hospital and the faculties of Medicine. Actually, the tree is on the small parking lot in front of Anatomical Pathology, where they study corpses and make autopsies, but it manages to be merry enough for some time.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Un sopravvissuto al progresso ! Meno male per la pianta e anche per gli occhi , trovo molto piacevole la pianta rispetto al cemento !( io , poi sono viziato dal vivere in ampi spazzi verdi e pieni di colori )

A great area, and the blossom is glorious here, Sandra.

Pink corpses and lolly-pops, so many things reminded in this. Ooops. I guess that I'm off on the wrong beat. Sorry, I was about to think up a song for this.

Just when you think all is lost life is dull, your surroundings are dull, Spring happens and Mother Nature wears her gowns of colour and beauty with pride. I love this beautiful photo of an exquisite tree. hugs Jane xx

growing up on the prairies, trees were few and far between... and none as magical as this!

with this image, I've now commented on your entire Spring in Town series. (I did the rest in previous sessions, which I verified tonight by looking, lol.) I marvel at how much you explore and 'receive' in your marvelous series. You do some of the best series on the site. One amazing thing about this series is that many of the pics explore similar things...ie, the combination and contrast of saturated areas of nature, house, city and sky. And yet each version is very different from the other. In this piece, the tree is indeed vidid and strong. And behind it is a city block, somewhat unkempt (as city blocks will be), soiled, a little funky, and colorful in its own right. The power of this tree is the freshness it brings to the old comfortably worn streets around it. And how this building---with such an opposite purpose from what we see here---makes a kind of stubborn old relative who won't budge even as the young come running in and playing. Fine contrast. I love how we get glimpses of both sides, the two streets and cars and poster, and a red home back there, etc. A lot packed into a small area. A fav for this and the whole series. It's another of your wonderfully rich journeys, for which I'm very grateful.
