Description
After a rest & a what only can be described as unusual refreshments. Zlata had to admit she had never been served tea by mice before & dressed ones at that. Zwoggle thanked Mr & Mrs Bonga & told her they must be on their way before it gets too dark as they have to find a place to stay.
"Now then me dearies, you can stay with us. Come through the gates & its just a little walk up the hill. There will be beds waiting for you both." said Mrs Bonga.
She looked at Mr. Bonga, "Go on off you go & make sure all is well for our guests when they arrive."
It looked like Mr. Bonga was quite used to Mrs Bonga's bossy ways as without a word he toddled off.
"That is very kind of you." replied a happy Zwoggle. He knew that, at the moment, Zlata was in a good mood & he wanted to keep her that way.
So off they went leaving Mrs Bonga to clear up after tea.
Of went Zwoggle & Zlata through the gate & walked up the hill. As they neared the top Zwoggle could see Zlata was not quite as happy as when they left. She had been telling him along the way that "I wouldn't have eaten all those cakes if I had known we would have to climb this hill, phew!!!"
"Hey look over there" cried Zwoggle, trying as best he could to cheer her up but I don't really think Zlata would be cheered up to see a gravestone with skulls round the bottom. Luckily she was too interested in how tired & puffed she was to notice.
"Now then me dearies, you have arrived at last" called Mrs Bonga looking a bit distracted. She was standing on the steps in front of a very welcoming door, which seemed to be the entrance to a tree house.
"How does she do that." Zlata asked Zwoggle.
"Whats that then." he replied.
"Always arrive somewhere before us after leaving after us." Zlata was confusing herself a little.
"Does it matter?" Zwoggle said.
The friends looked towards Mrs Bonga & could see why she was a bit flustered.
There in front of the steps, was what looked like a trunk with mice, once again dressed, going through it.
Mrs Bonga just called to the mice, "Now then you five off you go home, I don't need anymore help tonight." The mice waved to Mrs Bonga & with that they closed the trunk & scurried off.
She turned to the friends, "Come on you two, lets get you bedded down for the night."
Zlata & Zwoggle followed her into the house, where they hopefully will get a good nights sleep.
As always there was Jasmine & Meadow who was not only keeping an eye on her friends but was very interested in the mice!!!
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

So wonderful to see you enjoying the backgrounds Barbara and it is even the more rewarding to me to see just how your art has come on in leaps and bounds. You fitted all your characters into this scene so well, I could never have imagined this story or all your little mice and other elements within it when I was creating it, this is fabulous. As for the story it is just a tonic to read. Very well done indeed dear friend, I am more than proud of you. hugs and love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
