Description
Captured 4/12/12, late morning, just outside my usually congenial condominium complex.
ZOOM worthy.
I've got tons/tonnes of these, both prestorm and poststorm.
Most normal for Seattle, the UK and elsewhere, but this aerial phenomena is such a rarity around here that I took the opportunity to record it for the sake of posterity. In order to achieve the desired dramatic results, I attached a polarizing filter to the lens of my Canon PS SX20IS camera before I went out cloud hunting. I pointed close to the sun for the most dynamic effects, and shot through the viewfinder because the LCD monitor was mostly washed out by the sunlight.
Au revoir, thankx for coming aboard, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

A familiar sight here, as you say, but your pic is nonetheless attractive.

Love the bright spot of sun in the corner.

Another wonderful record of your storm, Harry; I can almost see the clouds moving and massing the way they do, in that almost random yet very organized dance that builds a storm front. Well done!
