Description

This is for Koosie (koosievantutte, here). He left way too early, 2 years ago tomorrow... I just wanted to remember him. He understood 'ancient' things, beauty of design, of line & grace & structure, of heart-to-heart devotion...and he gave his friends perfection. Not perfection like, "it's gotta be perfect," but as in heaven...like when you sigh because something's just so beautiful. That kind of perfection. He just never knew how much he gave or how much of a difference he made, so on this 2d anniversary of his passing I say, here's to you Koosie, you were a jewel in a world of stones, and I cherish you still, with joy...
* * * More commenting later... Mark (It's supposed to be 2 dancers, and the bottom one's a 'hug')

Not only an overwhelming variety of colors, curves, swirls, whorls and moire patterns, but a definite suggestion of wood textures, Mark, including knots, in this outstanding commemorative dedication to your deceased friend, Koosie.

These dancers are really getting into the swing of the music, they really are swirling across my screen in a frenzy of freedom and colour. The hug at the bottom is so expressive and passionate too. A very beautiful and colourful dedication.

It is a beautiful dedi to Koosie - so filled with the joy one feels when dancing and especially when creating. I like how the shapes come together in a glorious embrace, with all the colors mixing in a vibrant exuberance. A unique artwork for a very unique man. CC

Mark, this is a very moving and wonderful dedication to your friend. I am so sorry for your loss as it sounds like he truly touched the lives of so many people while he was here. Bless you for remembering the time of his passing, and creating an image that both expresses your feeling of loss, and of love for him.

It's hard to believe he's been gone for two years! (I would wonder how it got by me, but it's been a VERY busy two years.) :P This is a wonderful tribute piece for Koosie. I saw a dance before you mentioned it. What a fantastic, light, playful painting! Beautifully done, my friend.

TWO years! This is perfect for Koosie. I am even more speechless than usual (!) Joyous indeed, and I should like to see this on an at least 6 foot long silk wall hanging.

Beautiful image and composition, Mark. I am glad to see you are still going strong. I hope you are ok. This is a fine dancing memorial for Koosie. A shame he had to leave so soon. The good die relatively young. And sometimes... Being a good artist, claims your life and soul. Maybe it is the price to pay.. when you put your soul into your artwork. We are not all meant to grow old...at some point in life...we will have given ourselves 100 %, despite age. And then our time is up.

I didn't know Koosie, but I do know that your dedications are exceptional. The painting is magnificent, using fractals to wonderful effect to express the dance of life and light and love - and your words echo that love as only you can do. Exquisite work, Mark.
