Description

The small square in front of La Rinascente department store is a typical meeting point of students attending downtown high schools as well as university students waiting for their lessons. In Padova the university buildings are spread all over the town, we don't have a campus. In the background there is the column of the Madonna dei Noli, patroness of the boatmen until Padova had canals and river trade. Today she protects taxi drivers. Thanks for your kind comments.

Wonderful capture of this very busy little place Sandra. It nice you have places like this little square setup for the students to mingle in a relaxed setting. It looks as if you came by at the perfect time to catch everyone having fun.
