Description

I took this 17 years ago with my old Nikon SLR with FILM! Remember film! We were on a drive up Highway 1 and stopped to do a short hike in the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Apparently the falls used to fall directly into the sea until a massive fire, landslide and highway reconstruction project near the area in 1983-84 filled the cove with enough material to form a sandy beach several dozen feet out.

I remember that slide, took a a very long time to get the road cleared. Nice little beach that it gave us as a parting gift! You need to come back and see how it looks now!!

Of course I remember film! (film in spanish is "pelĂcula" that is feminine) I spent great moments playing with her, rolling in the dark, and shaking and soaking, also turning her negatives into positives...LOL Beautiful place and great capture. If I were a Pirate, I would choice this place to hide my ship.

Amazing! You really do have a way with grand vistas, especially with oceanic stuff doing oceanic stuff in the background. I love the depth in this shot and the color is almost otherworldly. Brilliant. I have a lot of catching up to do as my lack of comments shows, but this is one of those irresistible shots I simply had to comment on.
