I had a plastic bag over my SLR to stop it getting soaked!

Beautiful! great capture, you must have been near the edge, or perhaps you had a 80mm telephotoor similar?

No mate this was shot through a 50 prime! I was 'hanging' out over the fury!

Well, my friend, we've stood on the same spot on this planet and taken the same shot, and both with film! And it is awesome to see. After some time I came to understand why it is one of the wonders of the Earth. To me, that is because it assaults all of your senses at once: you see it, you feel the rumbling through the ground, you taste the moisture in the air, you hear it, and you smell the falls from quite a distance. I was last there in 1993. Nice shot Andrew!

It's been far to long since I was last here, probably 30 years! So yes, it was C-41 for imaging in those days, most definitely! I find the black of the water very cool. Is this an effect of sticking oneself into the mists to take the shot? A result of the bag over the camera or was it a cloudy day? Never been on a overcast day.

"Niagara Falls! Slowly, I turned..." (from an old Abbot & Costello bit I remember from my childhood). This is a great shot of what must be the most photographed falls in the world & captures it's power very well...

Wow, what a shot---one of the most amazing places on earth!!

Amazing capture my friend. God Bless.

It is mesmeric to stay and watch patches of water silently slip over the edge and ponder what would happen if one accidentally dropped in. PS Just thought I'd throw in some words that have gone the way of the waters and slipped over the edge. . . Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Fujichrome, OM10, HP4 . . .

Stunning! The thing that grabbed me the most is that greenish color as light shines through the water falling over the precipice into frothy, misty down there-ness. You really do capture the grandeur of the falls and I can almost hear that perpetual, thunderous, roar.

Powerful capture Andrew and a great place to visit. I would have really enjoyed to have been assigned there for a few months but with today's camera!
