Description
A creeper liberally decorating the front of an early 20th century building in downtown Padova. It's just in front of the Faculty of Humanities and a number of municipal offices, in the smaller of a system of squares. I've never known who lives there, but the place is first rate real estate.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Beautiful image, indeed! I always stop to look whenever I see these "creeper houses" and its not often... I can't imagine what kind of tending and care this would need over the years. Though, ever so beautiful! Such lovely lighting, Sandra!

the photo feels like something from a folktale or fairy tale. It also has a little of the feel of those early-to-mid 20th C. "linen postcards" (which weren't real linen, mostly) because of the slight bleed between colors. Overall, it has an enchanted magical look; and, because of your active colors and the almost fairy-tale like light, the light in the leaves and white flowers and in the sky above seems to emanate from folklore as much as from a real building. You seem to be capturing a mythic spring in this series, as, one after the other, as you create/capture a milieu of a spring of the inner mind, bringing out the natural hues & softness of spring so that they shine unfettered by the effects of decay, urban intrusion, the natural harshness of light & shadow, etc. They're purified for the soul. And the beautiful orange-peach hues here, and the reds & even the whites, have real magic. A beautiful piece, as part of a beautiful series...
