Description

Some days ago I went to my usual computer shop, which is in an area that can only be defined as mongrelified. In fact, an urban perifery, made of low buildings and kitchen gardens, was lapped by the industrial park forty years ago. Then it became trapped among overpasses, railway bridges, and the beltway. It is just beyond the Trade Fair built in the Fifties. The new buildings of the university expanded there, and the new offices of the province (like a county)were built twenty years ago. All the area was being gentrified until the current slump has slowed the process down until it has stopped. Anyway, there was a great sunset just outside the industrial hangar turned into a computer shop. A Japanese magnolia was blooming and the Trade Fair parking lots even looked poetic in this light.
