My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

Very beautiful and awe-inspiring shot Tara

Wonderful view and capture Tara. God Bless.

I like this shot a lot. The rain forests of the Northwest are so amazing.

Wow, that moss is incredible. I remember seeing things like that when I was a kid and our family took a trip to the NW coast and eventually all the way up to Alaska. This shot sure brings back memories. That looks like it's not exactly a vista for people with height-issues, though ;)

How beautiful this is!

Oooh, this is super! If I were a giant, I'd be tempted to lay on my belly and rub my cheeks over the mossy rock, all while getting a nose-full of tree stuff. Fortunately, I'm not a giant able to do such things, and so that particular bit of geography is safe from a massive amount of cheek rubbing. I love that element of this image: it's so tactile in so many ways. It's more than just captured light in different patterns. I like this a lot!

I don't think I want to try and climb down those slippery rocks. Nice shot.

Magnificent light and a green like no other. Breathtaking views along this road to the ridge:*

wonderful !!
durleybeachbum
Such beauty, both close too and further away. That moss is so inviting. I don't need to be a giant to want to get in close contact with it. A wonderful shot!

The parallel line between the foreground branch and the hill mountainside...lovely.
Katraz
Great moss and a place to take great care not to get to close to the edge.
jayfar
Love the light Tara and that sure is steep, looks slippery too. Lovely pic.
whaleman
Steep and mossy...oh, what could go wrong there, LOL! Nice shot!
cfulton
A very slippery slide! Super POV, Clive

Wonderful shades of Green! Excellent capture!

WOW! How beautiful it is with all the lovely moss and the TALL trees way down there. :-)
T.Rex
Ooh, my! The multiple beauties of nature. But, that drop - and moss which can be so slippery. This was daring. But a beautiful, unusual shot. I like the shapes and the shades of color. Keep up the good work! :-)

A serious drop-off, indeed! Quite a view you've captured, Tara! It has an air of mystery the way it fades into darkness far below. Wonderful capture!
Blush
Steep indeed but still pretty Hugs Susan~
anahata.c
lush & mysterious, and budding with brooding shadows...because of your rolling lines and piggybacked mounds, etc, it's like a big overgrown spill. The dark left half is beautiful balance to the rich falling right half. And the foreground trees make it seem almost scratched by a bony presence. It almost seems underwater, in a way...Beautiful & ambiguous & full & multifarious, and very plush & lush. Wonderful you're both seeing places like this...
brewgirlca
Now that is a moss shot. I really like how you captured all sorts of variations of green and the different reflectivities.
moochagoo
Love that picture.
adorety
This is an excellent and diffucult shot, but you managed to show some perspective and scale.
