UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wow! WOW! gorgeous pics!

Two very illustrative photos of this steep, rugged forest land. Those are almost 45 degree slopes. The shades of color are great - both in the trees and in the moss. I wonder how much wildlife is hidden from our view in these photos? I've just been looking through krittermom's gallery and the fantastic work she's doing raising little animals who have lost their parents (often due to human cruelty/"pleasure"). And have often wondered about us human's role in this world and what we're doing to the animal's habitats. Keep up the good work. These nature photos are astounding. The size of the photos show the immensity of what's in front of you, but is too large to be captured by the camera. :-)

Super lush POVs, detail and lush colors in this collage, Bill, but you just triggered a debilitating attack of acrophobia in me, so I'll have to make this short.

beautiful lush photos, bill, and showing (as in tara's recent shot) the "piggyback" quality of these hills within hills, and allowing the lush vegetation to encroach everything. The composition on the left-shot moves from the stringy front bushes to the packed dense trees in the background; and you caught all that color-activity in the low foreground, which will lead to the pure blue-greens of the background. A really nice progression for us. And the right-image is composed with two huge peaks (bulbous protrusions may be a better term) that beautifully poke out of the vegetation, and are topped off with fog. Two thoughtful captures in composition, inclusion and in sweep. I'm really glad you two are seeing all this, as spring sets in full force: These are beautiful.

Splendid lush mountainside you have captured here so nicely. That snow sounds to be pretty deep and not a place to be yet but these slopes look pretty inviting.
