Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

OH WOW! Yes, there was the Jackpot :-) But there is also something cosy listening to the rain drumming on the roof, knowing you are safe and dry inside :)

Oh how beautiful! The view and listening to the rain on the rooftop! One of my very biggest reasons for loving the rain as much as I do:-) Then ass the ocean waves to that!!! I wouldn't want to leave! lol Please give my best to Tara.

Although overcast, some striking contrast in this panorama, Bill. And, please send some of that rain down our way.

La Push is one of the prettiest spots on the Washington coast, imho. I love the rocks and the way the waves come in on this curved stretch of beach. What a great place to camp! :)
MrsRatbag
Oooh, look at those big rocky bits in the water...scenic to the max!
Adobe_One_Kenobi
Nice one Bill, I hope you two are having a blast!

This is gorgeous! I'm especially drawn to those rocks, and I'm also amused by the name of the place: "La Push" sounds a bit like a nightclub in 1980's Chicago: the kind of place where "the taller and more precarious the boogie-shoes the better." And having said that, I'll also say that I'm quite taken by this shot! I love the idea of squalls and surf and the sound of rain drumming on a roof. That combination of sounds is one of the choicest ingredients for a day of creating art, especially writing, or something that allows you to sit and just listen to that sound. What a scene this is! I love it.

Woooow.... I'm so jealous! The only 'white noise' we get here comes from I-70! LOL! Gorgeous shot, Bill!

I can image how noisy that surf was during the night. We had a noisy surf last night too but we aren't as close as this. What a marvellous place to camp. An excellent capture.
