Description

PLEASE ZOOM to VIEW! Took the new lens set up out for a test spin last weekend. This is using the Canon 50mm 2.5 with the Life-size converter. I love how much larger stuff like this is now from a distance, now that my lens is a true 1:1. This was shot from about 1 foot away. Some cropping here on this shot, and at full size you can tell I missed the focus on the head a bit. But once it's reduced for the web (and in print) it looks pretty sweet. Thanks for looking and any comments. -Bruce PS, I noticed that my EXIF data now shows the lens as a 70mm when the converter is attached.

Superb!!Light on the eye is fantastic, so is on the end of legs! What number is your converter? Is a 1.4X? This could explain the 70 mark now, as the converter multiplies your focal length by the degree of magnification that it has.

Great macro, very difficult to get a sharp shot of a flying bee. I go with Netot on the 70mm thing.

Brilliant! I often miss my 50mm macro that I had withh my film cameras. But I can't physically handle the weight and size of kit like you boys have!
