Description
More winter on Lake Michigan... Some photographer-friends have suggested I start to post my photos, since I have a large archive. So, from time to time, I'll be posting 2 or 3 images per day, so I can start building a "photography gallery". Please know: I don't expect you to comment on all of these! You're welcome to, but if you don't have the time, it's fine! Just enjoy them. I'll post old 2D's too...

The composition on this one is absolutely breathtaking, Mark; it's subtle but overwhelmingly beautiful, and I could look at it for hours. Well done you!

The bits that are at an angle give this extra pizzaz! It would have been fabulous even without them, but wow ... nicely seen!

About time too, if you had asked me! This is like a marvellous painting, with the restricted palette and the powerful shapes. Very satisfying to contemplate!

Awesome work. Beautiful contrast of lights and shadows.

Lovely brrrrr contrast effects in this foto. So this is your long delayed image, finally come to pass after so many attempts, Mark. And, good heavens, this is reminiscent of the inside of my freezer after a few hours of pulling the plug.

This ice looks amazing with its jagged edges and great reflections. I am wondering how wet you got taking this shot out on the lake. Aren't the tonings beautiful too. It is a super capture.

An abstract look at your lake. If you hadn't said it was ice, well, my mind couldn've turned into anything!!

superbly done !

From a distance they look like frozen waves. I've always found icicles to be fascinating, like giant jewels that are so precious because they are so momentary. Really unique and lovely shot. CC
