If you got a million ebots from me, I couldn't get the "upload" to work for the LIFE of me! It kept stalling & stalling...sorry, I'll post it another time... (This one seemed fitting for my mood: A bleak day on Lake Michigan, in winter! Put your coats on, it was COLD out there...)

Lol, I just got online and saw all those ebots!! For a change, it's COLD where I am also--Truckee, California. This shot feels cold, but it's a beaut---your city knows how to put on a show!!

A wonderful capture that really does tell its own story. It looks very cold to be out in this weather and I hope it isn't still this cold. I love how the reflections look so eerie on the icy water here and the patterns of the ice make for a great texture. The skyline stands out so majestically too. Very well caught and worth getting up to catch this. I'm chuckling over how many times you tried to get an upload, I will look forward to seeing the other one. I hope you have a happy weekend too.

I really like the blues in this. Your choice of tones enhances the feel, brings me to a place of feeling pristine cold, if that makes any sense at all. Gorgeous photograph! As for all the bots ... now listen, you! I turned my bots on for your work because you posted in a gallery I rarely visit, and the first thing that happens is that I get five notifications and none of them hook up to anything! I'm a very busy person, and you really must be more careful of my time. LOLOL!!! :P (Seriously ... I just brought up your page and noticed there was a 2D piece and nothing else new, so it cost me nothing. Besides, I've got all the time in the world. We drove 40 miles today. Busy, busy, busy!)

Reflective...we have some music playing in the background (here in the motorhome) that adds a sense of another time to this...just what it appears to represent to me. Chicago in winter. Lake Michigan with a fragile glaze of ice. A atmospheric blueness. All bedazzled by a certain light. Everything works together. Irresistible:)

First of all let me say that I'm sorry to hear about the mood you're in Mark. I'm certain the stress you're under with everything you're going through has to be taken it's toll on you. Despite all that you took the time to post this wonderful image for us. I know the temperature at the time may have been cold and the setting may have seemed a bit bleak, but for me it's a magnificent capture. I know the thought and care that went into this image, and I would rather focus on the warmth of the sun as it reflects off the cold frozen waters.

Yikes! This really looks chilly but it looks just as beautiful as cold and so very peacefull too. A really wonderful capture. You know how to make Chicago look its best. I am sorry you are feeling blue, dear Mark.

This is so amazingly lovely, Mark; the softness, the blue tones, the sense of isolating cold...well done!

Definitely one of your latest best, Mark! The tones, reflections and the ice textures work perfectly! a fave!

i love the blue, so dramatic, a cold beauty.

Blue, blue, the scene is blue.....what an ice skating rink! Stellar silhouetting, metallic mirrorlike sheens and reflections, worthy of any scene from a gillion dollar science fiction movie, in this remarkable capture, Mark! Everything looks so no-frills and Spartan that I would suspect the city in the distance is teeming with robots and artificial intelligence. Anyway, after being buffeted by several erroneous ebots, I was finally able to latch onto this amazing photo, so subzero in essence, to finally end the frustration of your unintended consequences.

Spectacular image. Splendid work!!!!!

The perfect music to play with this wonderful image would be Jethro Tull's "Skating away on the thin ice of the new day". I'm feeling the cold in Cape Town right now, but it's all relative - 12 degC feels mighty cold after the 28 degC we had just two days ago! Not a snowflake or ice crystal in sight...

There is cold, but also beauty and serenity in the blueness, and even a spot of warmth and sunshine. As if the entire city and lake are in repose, waiting for your smile. CC
