I'm showing my age here! Back in the errrrr 80's I went to watch the filming of a TV show called Knight Rider. If you don't know it, it was about a talking car. Anyway, here is a shot of KITT during a break in filming. HERE is a vid of him in action. Shot with FILM! For all you youngsters, he was pretty cool back in the day!
And this isn't a modern day reproduction, this is the legend himself!

Cool car. I deny all knowledge of the TV Show on account it would give away my age :)

Well there some things that do stick in the mind (even when those things happen when your age is in single digits like mine was for the majority of the 80's), every Saturday afternoon Knight Rider and the A-Team (the new Knight Rider was frankly pants in comparison). Nice shot of an 80's icon (even here in old blighty).

Back then Television (the boob tube) had far better cars than the movies (in my opinion) The General Lee, The Coyote, The A-Team Van and Vette, The Riptide Vette, The Fall Guy Truck (and a bit further back) The Batmobile, The Monkee Mobile, The Munsters cars, etc. etc....The original KITT and even KARR and Goliath were some of my all time favs! I still remember talking to my friends about the cliff hanger episode of when Goliath tore KITT a new one! Whatever would he do? How could he possibly go up against that! Netflix has the answers if you don't remember (or have never seen it). thanks for the memories and I envy you for having the oportunity to be around the shoot!

My age is showing. I just had flashbacks to David Hasselhoff's hair. I loved the little in jokes in all of Glenn A. Larson's tv shows. They were all related. First, there was Battlestar Galactica the original series with the Cylons with those red eye things that moved back and forth, making that odd, 80s electronic "woo-woo" sound...and then there was...The A-Team with Dirk Benedict (Starbuck from the original BSG) smoking a cigar...and then after that, there was KITT, with a red Cylon eye making that "woo-woo" sound...but what I loved best was: Turbo Boost, which used the same sound effect of a Colonial Viper zipping out into space to fight the tin-plated bad guys. And yeah, not only am I showing my age, but I think I've revealed a bit too much knowledge of Glen A. Larson schlock. But hey...there was a talking car!!! With Turbo Boost!!! How cool was that?!?!?!
