Description

This is a watercolor. Actually it began with playing with colors, but after a while, I( found it boring. so I tried to find shapes in it and this is the result. :) Hope you like it. Have a beautiful day. We have such a wonderful weather again today. I will go out and enjoy it now. As usual, Thank you for your always welcome viewing, commenting and fav to my previous post. :-)

I love it! That is when you are released from drawing from life and the work comes alive on its own!

Oh...WOW! When I write a book about something contemplative and moody, I'll tell my editor to contact you (and pay!) to use this as the cover! This is brilliant and it's so sensitively done and the colors are amazing. I think I might have mentioned this before, but in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Bantam Books published a line of classics (from authors like Jean Paul Satre and Aldous Huxley and others) with semi-abstract artwork on the covers. This makes me think of that, because I love that particular style of book cover design. I think the paintings were commissioned directly for the books, and it's terrible because they do not say who the artists are. Aaargh! But anyway, this makes me think of that, only in a more gentle way. I especially love the shapes in the upper portion: they look like stencils, almost, or maybe those small panes that compose stained glass. I think that is what makes this image slightly more tactile. Even if I can't actually touch it, I can still "feel" it. Also, those shapes really add to the sense of depth. This is real gallery-quality work, and I love it!

This is simply wonderful; the colors, shapes, and very life of it is outstanding!!
