What's New with The Art Of Carol Cavalaris
Galleries: I currently exhibit my work in several Colorado galleries, including juried shows at Art At The Center in Nederland, and Gilpin County Art Association in Central City. I also exhibit in several on-line art galleries. I also have on-going exhibits at various banks, community centers, libraries, restaurants, and also participate in local Art Fairs and Festivals. Art Licensing: I am a collectible artist with The Bradford Exchange, where my art is on a Dream Catcher Collection, as well as an exclusive figurine and sculpture collection. My art is also being licensed and is on a variety of products including: eSkins for laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc., puzzles that are being sold in Target, K-Mart, and other retail and web stores. Several of my pieces have been licensed by a company called The Mountain. They produce high-quality, environmentally-friendly T-shirts and other apparel, and have some of the finest wildlife and fantasy artists in the world on their team. awash in passionate violet hues, and with a signature 'carol' item---the hidden eyes in deep space, peering into the scene (canine eyes). Your plants feel like flame in many spots, because of the lighting on them. And the canines---with their eyes alit by fire---move in total harmony with your rider. You use photography very organically...I assume that, with all your time in the arts, you know what to shoot before you begin making the image. That's not a small thing for people who work with photography as part of a larger multi-media whole, as once the image has begun, it can change drastically. I assume you get coverage (many pics just in case), but it shows your long experience with this kind of imagery, and sureness of what you're after. The visual counterpoint of rider leaning one way & bike, the other, and the massing of the animals around her are very dynamic. It's an image that emanates from a big center, and undulates out into space through all those waves of purple, and also through the beautiful animals in motion. Another splendid entry in this series. Sumptuous.
