What's New with The Art Of Carol Cavalaris
Galleries: I currently exhibit my work in several Colorado galleries, including juried shows at Art At The Center in Nederland, and Gilpin County Art Association in Central City. I also exhibit in several on-line art galleries. I also have on-going exhibits at various banks, community centers, libraries, restaurants, and also participate in local Art Fairs and Festivals. Art Licensing: I am a collectible artist with The Bradford Exchange, where my art is on a Dream Catcher Collection, as well as an exclusive figurine and sculpture collection. My art is also being licensed and is on a variety of products including: eSkins for laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc., puzzles that are being sold in Target, K-Mart, and other retail and web stores. Several of my pieces have been licensed by a company called The Mountain. They produce high-quality, environmentally-friendly T-shirts and other apparel, and have some of the finest wildlife and fantasy artists in the world on their team. Congratulations on 700! I mean, that's a big deal! I'm only half that far...Well here, you have no human rider (that I can see), to fit the legend you speak of. But you have the wolves surrounding & almost protecting the bike, which for all its machinery & paraphernalia, feels magically at home with all these beautiful beasts. They seem the guardian angels of the bike. And the landscape---so often part land and part inner space in your work---seems to be a kind of paradise for these wolves, topped off by an orb (moon?) in which a wolf howls into deep space. A great topper to the image, evoking the mythic qualities of the wolf as a stalker of the far regions of the soul. Billowing & beautiful, and a great end to this beautiful series.
