The Federation starship reaches D-935 a few days later. Once in orbit, the medical supplies are transported to the surface, and not a moment too soon, for by now, the illness has reached epidemic proportions. Renn Tolbac is beamed right up into sick bay where he gets an innoculation. He was starting to come down with a fever and showed all the symptoms of the disease. The innoculation is very effective in his case and a few hours after, he joins Dax and Prince Leto in the forward observation deck where he and Dax have a very happy reunion. Dax introduces Renn to Prince Leto and Renn good naturedly kids the young man about being a saucy young prince. Prince Leto gets very red faced and says he can't believe anyone would talk about him that way. Dax calms the prince down though with a stare and some stern words about learning to develop a sense of humor. Something the prince is sorely lacking as yet. But again, he will learn if Dax and now Renn, have anything to say about it. They take a table and order refreshments and soon, conversations are flowing freely. Renn tells them all about the troubles and developments on the planet below. He mentions to Dax that he has something he'd like to discuss with him later and gives him an old secret military code indicating the importance of this discussion. So Dax changes the subject smoothly and they talk about old times and former campaigns. Prince Leto tries to project an air of indifference, but you can tell he is starting to listen to their stories with increasing interest. They talk well into the night before they realize how late it has gotten. The deck has started to clear out. Dax summons Yeoman Mathias and asks if a temporary bed can be placed in their quarters. Renn needs a place to stay for the night since he really isn't in any condition to return to the planet, what with all the toastings they have done, and some of the side effects of his recent innoculation. Yeoman Mathias assures them he will have everything ready for them by the time they reach their quarters and rushes off to make the preparations. Thank you for taking a peek!
