Lt. Dax Dunnbar, Prince Leto and Renn Tolbac slept in the next day after partying it up the previous night. Renn has given Dax some information about some developments on the planet below that he wishes to investigage further. Renn contacts his two partners on the planet's surface, Zack Insincero and Tron Omega, and arranges for them to meet at a remote location on the planet's surface. Prince Leto, at Renn's suggestion, dresses in a lighter uniform more suitable for the hot temperatures of the planet. Dax contacts Yeoman Mathias and requests he arrange to have them beamed down the the coordinates he has given him. Zack and Tron are already at the location patiently waiting for their arrival. Upon making the introductions, Dax surveys the site. He sees one ancient looking doorway. Renn tells him the story of when they found it and of the two women that escaped through it from another dimension just before their side of the door was buried in boulders, some of which came through the open door. Dax also notices several empty holes indicating recent excavations. Renn tells him that when they first found this site, there were many more of the doorways scattered around. Renn thinks the door casings are made of pure unobtainium. All three of the partner soldiers of fortune have reached the same conclusion. They think that their old arch enemy, Memphis Hodge is in on the mysterious disappearances. They can't rule out the manager of the planet either, Mr. Steepledorf. Zack has been in contact with Jeff Peabody, the construction foreman for the building of the planet's industrial complex. He has told Zack of his suspicions about Mr. Steepledorf and then added that Memphis Hodge showed up shortly after Mr. Steepledorf. Memphis is currently being entertained by a young business tycoon, Reginald Van Singh IV, on a pleasure space station that circles the planet. Jeff has gone over the production figures of unobtanium since they have started mining the mineral and keeps coming up short. He thinks that Mr. Steepledorf is responsible for the missing minerals. (You can review this storyline in many of my previous renders.) Meanwhile, Tron has been flirting with the prince. He shamelessly pursues anyone he takes a liking to, whether male of female. The Prince is a bit embarrassed back by this attention, but finds Tron to be an agreeable person so he tries to keep from blushing too much. In fact, he is a little bit flattered by Tron's attentions. We'll see later if anything develops here. In the meantime, Dax has to finish the project he started for Prince Leto's father. The subject of the missing spaceship's and crews has to be solved. Dax askes the three SOF (soldiers of Fortune) if one of them can accompany him and the Prince on the rest of their exploratory journey since they could use some extra fire power. Renn says he will go. They discuss some options to persue on the planet while Renn is gone with Dax. Then Dax and the Prince beam back up to the starship and Renn, Tron and Zack return to their base.
