Just an abstract, inspired by old silks & brocades...(thanks Helle, for inspiring me!) I'm getting some more work done on my hands, so will be spotty here for a short time...But there are birthdays coming up & I'll honor them: I'll just be late. (I won't forget though!)

Rich and luscious, with a cute little South Sea Islander mask thrown in!

Splendid work as always Mark, this one is outstanding. It's beautiful, vibrant and I love the way the colors flow. Sorry to hear about your hands and I will keep you in my prayers that you can recover quickly

I have collected scarves for years and this would make a stunning print for one. Wonderful swirl of shades, with a delicate gold running through. It must be quite mesmerizing to create these as you enter the world of shapes, light, and color. CC

JUST an abstract, he says, clearly unaware of the jazz band, the dancers, the swirling smoke, the laughter, the life, the love, the lipstick stain on the collar (ok, so I made up the last bit)... Vibrant, vibey and intoxicating. Love it!

Fantastic work, Mark; this is a shimmering piece of satiny beauty that you've so carelessly draped across the back of the chair ;} Don't let it get wrinkled!

Jealous suspicion top middle, wild abandon on the right (Andrea's mask), and the rest of the world swirls around them. What a fabulous piece! I would hang this one as a silk, with a small loop to anchor that intricate mask business at the side ... a physical installation reference to the fact that for me, that bit anchors the piece. Gorgeous work!

YIKES! I need to stop reading all the comments, as I get totally empty in my head for words that reach all these fine comments to the socks LOL! If comments are actually wearing socks, that is. ;) But you already know how much I love this image with all my favorite colors. I do believe, I even mentioned the silky look too. Love the bird with the blue beek, included the mask, Andrea wrote about :)

Just an abstract you say, but what an abstract, Mark, brimming over with all sorts of brilliant colors, contrasts, multiple paisleylike images, finely etched lines, ad infinitum. And, yes, good luck with your hands. This has been one long trial of endurance for you.

I love how the old silks and brocades have inspired you to make this great abstract. It brings back lots of memories of a gentler time. Beautiful colours, textures and vibrancy and very intricate lines. I do hope all goes well with your hands and that you can be back creating in no time at all.

OMG, my first thought as I looked as this was, "Wow, I'd LOVE to have some fabric in this pattern!!" And your first words were "silks and brocades". GMTA--and where can I buy this one?? I LOVE this!!

Awesome work.
