I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Lovely shot Carin and well spotted.

They look a little like lima beans to me & that feather looks like it's suspended in mid air, giving this a unique & interesting look. I like the central focus & the blurring at the edges, too...

How unusual, different from the succulents we have here, and it's so interesting to get to know something totally unknown, alien and new to me ... Tara will be so pleased I am sure, terrific image Carin, BB

Dankie, Dierbaar! Dis mooi baie. :) What a find! I love the shades from yellow to green, and the shapes are wonderful. Claude thinks lima beans ... I'm leaning more toward lentils. LOL! The feather is such a beautifully whimsical touch. Thank you, my friend!

OMG, M and M candies growing right out there in the African desert! Another one of Nature's surprises. Other than that, great clarity, texture, and muted colors in this fine foto, Carin!

This is a fantastic photo for me (as for Tara in the first place of course ;-). But I've never seen such succulents, in those colors, and then I don't even speak about the setting. It's such a joyfully gift for Tara, dear Carin.
