UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Happy birthday Tara! Had good weather myself there exploring the Olympics at this time of the year back in the 90's, must be the time to go! Great image Bill!

Thank you, honey! This is gorgeous! That spring has to have been one of my favorite places on our Hoh hikes. I've never seen water so clear. And those plants growing on the bottom were such a gorgeous color ... that clear, amazing green showing up so differently in light and shade. This is a shot I don't think I could have gotten, even bracketed, so it's extra special. You're one in a billion, baby! :*

Happy Birthday Tara.... Aloha

Happy Birthday Tara! Oh, my - hanging moss, water surface with reflection and transparency, plant growth on the bottom. There's SO much information that blends in the water in this shot one can scarcely separate out what is what. That's the magic with this photo - almost unreal - another worldly feeling to it. And, I bet the air was cool, a bit damp and VERY quiet. The perfect place to rest, relax, enjoy. I've been in woods with thick moss here in Sweden, but haven't seen this type of scenery. It entices me, but no transport, no going to such places. A nice place to pass one's birthday. :-)

Beautiful Bill. Interesting comment about no rain. The same happened to me in '92. Spent 4 days there and didn't even see a cloud.

A wonderful dedication to Tara, Bill! Apologies for the belated wishes - I have been 'on the road' with a new job. Exciting! Looks like you are both having fun 'on the road' too! Clive

the waters are so clear, one has to look twice before they realize those are actually waters. But equally so, your composition looms over the waters with real lushness and protection. You chose those overhanging boughs as a huge curtain over the waters, and they're golden. And while the greens are in the waters---I assume seaweeds or some kind of sea growth---they could almost be a carpet of grass. As illusory as fine reflection shots, but wholly real, it's a quiet nook in what we know to be a large teeming forest...and the feeling is one of protection and love. A wonderful birthday image for tara, and wholly secluded and sensual. You take to these forests like a duck to water, bill. They haven't daunted your eye one bit. (They would me...I'd need time with all that growth!)
