My tripod just took a dive. One of the clamps on one of the legs broke, so I am shopping for a new one. The old one can now be used as an in house small table top type tripod so not a total loss. Nice photo.

Great capture of the woman at work! Also great to see exactly where those little shrooms were located. That looks like the same kind of tripod I have!

Oh, Bill. A photo on the sly! Will she ever trust you with a camera again? :) Beautiful photo. The spur of the moment unexpected ones are always the best - catches the subject in a natural pose (NO self-consciousness). That's the trick when photographing people and animals (who often get frightened by the lens, which looks like a HUGE eye staring at them. "Is that a huge predator ready to pounce on me? How scary!") That tripod looks quite big and heavy - good stability, but must be a load to carry even when sticking to cleared paths. Now I'm waiting for "Tara's revenge"! Keep up the good work, you two! And a "Cheers!" to Tara for letting you post this! (Nice to see more than just her avatar). :-)

Aside from the fact that we're seeing a photographer at work, and one very close to you, and a first rate photographer too; and aside from the fact that we're seeing a shot for someone we all love being taken, you made a really nice shot in its own right. The thing radiates with sun-filled yellows; the greens radiate, even the background leaves radiate (though softly). But then tara's blouse is in fine contrast to it all, captured with clarity. And she's lined up with the trees behind her and also with her tripod---it's kind of a ganglia of lines coming together. And the shot looms around her with lush growth and a lot of criss crossing tree-lines. It gives a sense of what these overgrown forests look like close up, and what you had to tackle as you went into them to shoot. Really intense yellow light. A happy and very overgrown shot. Fine work, Bill.
