Description


A Fletcher class destroyer breaks off the Taskforce formation for a possible submarine contact. In the background, the USS New Jersey (BB-62) ("Big J" or "Black Dragon") on it´s way to one of her last missions of WW2 - bombarding Guam and Palau Islands. After WW2 she saw action in Corea, Vietnam, Lebanon and was decommissioned in 1991. Rendered in Vue10, finished in Photoshop... Thanks for viewing & comments! Tafkah

Action Stations! Captures the turn really well... keeping low on the surface seems to really bring the destroyer right to you. I like the birds as well as the big complex sky!
