If you recall, Lisbet and her camera-man Jason were on their way to the airport to fly back to London after interviewing the actor Ramon Delacroix........ Rushing through the freezing air, the damp cold wind cutting through to her very bones and then a sudden feeling of warmth. A huge crashing explosion shaking the air...clouds of fire and smoke billowing high in the night sky.... Then nothing... Blackness all around. Lisbet woke with a start sitting up on the edge of her bed, the powerful images and sensations of her dream still lingering, but fading fast as dreams will do. She was in her underwear and her clothes draped over the foot of her bed. She would never sleep in her underwear, nor would she just toss her clothes over the footboard like that. She always hung up her clothes, no matter how tired she was. Fact is, she didn't even remember coming home or going to bed. The hall light was on too - something else she would never have done - left the hall light on. "What...?" She got up, her brow wrinkled in consternation. Her luggage was nowhere to be seen, but her purse was hung over the bedpost next to her clothes. She grabbed it and then realized she heard the television on. Why was the television on? Lisbet walked out into the living room. There was a special report on. "We repeat, BFA Flight 42 erupted in flames just as it was banking to make its entry approach late last evening. The radical splinter-group Jihada is claiming responsibility for the bombing, although this has yet to be verified. All three hundred and sixty-four passengers and crew on board are presumed to be dead. There was no indication from the pilot that there had been any...." Lisbet grabbed the remote and shut it off, shaking to the core. That was the flight she'd been on. So........ A shiver went through her. She couldn't quit shaking. Dropping to the couch, she sat there clutching her purse to her body, rocking back and forth. What did it all mean?
