Description
Tariq had this garden built for his younger sister in the summer after their father died. While he was deeply aggrieved, it was worse for her. The oversight of the construction and planning kept him from thinking too much about it, and it greatly improved Lila's mood. She loved her garden, so it was somehow fitting to watch her marry the one she'd always wanted in it. It made Tariq feel very good - even better than he did for deciding that he needed to change. The family stood around the circle, where Papa Mayombe called to the gods of this land to bless their union.
Maria seemed to have suddenly decided that this was preferable to their previous state. Perhaps it was because she'd recalled why they were there in the first place and to expect Altayr to go out of his way to find a Catholic priest to marry them just for her sake was rather a silly notion. Or maybe it was because Rugerio had mentioned just that to her...rather adamantly. She looked beautiful in the dress and coat that dona Lila had given her to wear and to have for the occassion.
The others stood behind the family at a respectful distance. When Papa Mayombe was finished, there would be much food - Spanish, Arabic and Moroccan - and lots of music, dancing and drinking! It was a happy time, and nothing was going to ruin it if Tariq had anything to say about it! Funny how things worked out. He would have missed this entirely - and his own fault for it, had he not decided to be sensible about not going out. This was a sign, he thought - a sign that he'd done the right thing.

I wish all you mothers out there a very Happy Mother's Day. I hope you get to spend it with those you love and do something fun. We're going to go see Dark Shadows :)

how the heck do you write more than one story at a time and not get confused Ray! Darn I would'da accidentally Had A sword fighter vampire crashing a plane into the wedding lol wow... well the story is progressing very well guess she is happy.. the supporting scene is fantastic. a full view MUST! The music.. great for it's style I must admit... hmm, but, if he arranged it with a few jazz drum kits, and an Electric metal guitar chug!!! and lead blues solo.. AND His voice and Sitar in front of the mix.. WOW// Ok I have weird taste I admit! you have fun with hubby at the show :o)
