Description
Captured 5/11/12, early afternoon, at the area indicated in the title, in beautiful Huntington Beach, California, near beachzz's old stomping grounds.
A ZOOM would be quite in order.
Right at the entrance to the wetlands was this rugged, no nonsense bridge, constructed sometime between my original visit in 2006 and now. I should have consulted the Conservancy information center for more definitive information on the structure, but was too eager to get on with the photo shoot. Haste makes waste.
Incidentally, the top shot shows the entrance, the bottom pic shows the exit side.
Toodles, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Great job on this. I used to spend my birthdays in Huntington beach years ago, I had an aunt that lived there and every 4th of July she would have a huge 4th of July party, its been years since I have been back to that area.

This was my stomping (well, bike riding) grounds last year when I was in HB. I always wonder how it looked before man came along, well modern man and his cars, anyway!!

Form follows function. Most attractive.

I love bridges, no matter the style; anything that lets you get across the water to explore more of the area is a good thing in my eyes. This one looks so clean! Apparently the local feral youth haven't discovered it yet, or security is good enough to keep them out; either way it's rare and nice to see an untagged structure. Excellent captures showing us the ingress/egress of the park area, Harry.

You are right Harry, not much design there.. A straight up ....bridge! lol But it gets from A to B, so it works! Could have painted it green or something! lol Nice shots! Riob

Great "Depth of Field" capture. I'm guessing about a 16mm aperture ? Just a guess

Great shots of this bridge that gets you into and out of the wetlands. It is always amazing how different bridges can look they all have their own character.

Nice looking bridge collage Harry and I am happy to see that it is child safe.

again, zoom is a must: the full sweep of your shots is apparent in full view. Two sweeping and curvy captures, you got the curve of the bridge and of the railings; the full sweep as we look across; and the alternating shadows from top to bottom. (A nice touch, since the shadows have very slight variations in them, since we're viewing them from both sides.) And you caught or cropped the two shots with almost total equality, giving the same amount of front-fence in each. And the walkway seems so clean in your capture, too! A fine duo, with real sweep, esp unexpected for a fairly modest sized bridge. Fine seeing, and you made the most of this simple structure. It's fun to see the subtle variations between the same bridge, as we view it both ways...
