Description
people build with cypress around here for that wood is hard to rot or decay.
it will if you paint it with paint of today's so if you wish to paint cypress look it up on google to get the right way to do it. It a old way from the 1800's. You will have to mix up the paint yourself as you will not find it at the paint store.
Cypress cost too much now days to build stuff like this for a poor man.

Very cool capture of this rustic little shed Jock. I had no idea cypress was so high and was also taken back to learn you have to be careful on how you paint it. Considering how old this shed is you are right about how well it stands up to rot and decay, and sounds like it is worth the added expense.

I don't think you are even aloud to cut down cypress trees in Florida anymore. It's a hard wood to get these days. Excellent capture! :)
