Description
A view of the small but pretty garden of one of the early 20th-century detached houses just outside the Renaissance walls in Padova. In the fifties this was considered well-to-do perifery, and still is prime realty, just outside the city centre. The buildings are mostly two or three storeys high, with a garden.

Very nice! The pink hues give it such a warm, pleasing mood. Makes me want to find a lounge chair among the flowers and trees and sunshine, and curl up with a good book. :) Beautiful photo, Sandra.

I love that neighborhood already, it's a far cry from sterile suberbs.

quaint villa... a romantic scene... young woman, waiting for her lover... scent of flowers lilting up to the open windows of the bedroom.... a tale of times gone...

Another collection of both saturated and delicately 'light' hues (like the pinks in shadow, the off-whites, the lighter greens, etc). These pieces are like opulent designs made from hue-groups. They're also portraits of lush nature. It strikes me that these pieces---almost entirely about nature and landscaping---have the same sense of juxtaposition that your cultural and historical uploads do, where several historical periods or cultures collide and interact in one shot. (Here, it's all done in swaths of garden, walkways, facades, etc.) Beautiful contrast of tree on the left, and house on the right. The pinks in the facades are a pastel version of the deeper pinks of the flowers. And the greens below the flowers are very vivid, in your hands. The tree or bush on the far right is a balancing accent to the tree on the left. More balance and overlay, more color combinations & contrasts, with the flowers reaching into the very center of the piece. Lushly and sensitively seen & captured, once again.
