Description

No, not an exotic flower, but fotos of the so called Electronics Town, or Akihabara (Akiba for short) in Tokyo, Japan, captured recently by my well traveled nephew. Functionally ZOOM worthy. I assume they sell cameras there. Sayonara, thankx for clicking on, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Nice to see things in other parts of the world; this place looks quite busy! I assume you did the postwork on these shots?

A very colourful collage of these buildings. I like the one with less people too.

I realize now why I passed over this: It wasn't done by you. But that's in no way a comment on your nephew, just that as I've been catching up, I've wanted to do your work first. But I'll comment on it, so as not to slight your nephew or your postwork, etc. The top two are big teeming shots, and pretty much what I pictured Tokyo to look like. And you placed them together well. The last kind of calms us down, since it's less busy and looks like one of the outer edges of the place. Nice job by your nephew, and nice job by you, picking them, placing them, and I assume postworking, cropping, etc. From #2, I'm reminded at how much very young, child-aged heroes/heroines permeate Japanese popular culture. I could never explain that infatuation. And some of them---as in the top-left poster, 2d shot---are warriors. Strange combination. Anyway, thank you for posting your nephew's shots, and for working them up for us. It would be great to see what you'd do in Tokyo for several weeks. I wonder if you could lie on the ground anywhere without getting trampled...
